McCreary is seeking a skilled, community orientated individual with strong research skills to support McCreary’s work in researching, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data. The successful candidate will initially focus on analyzing data from the 2023 BC Adolescent Health Survey (BC AHS) and Homeless Youth Survey (HYS).

The BC Health and Wellness Youth Advisory Council is recruiting new members
The BC Health and Wellness YAC is made up of up to 20 youth aged 14–19 from communities across British Columbia. The YAC will provide youth perspectives on topics related to health and wellness to inform BC government decisions. The group's focus includes vaping, tobacco use, and related issues that matter to youth.
The BC Health and Wellness YAC meetings about 10 times per year, with meetings planned to be mostly virtual until at least June 2023 (We are hoping to sometimes meet in
person when it is safe to do so and would cover travel costs). Members of the BC Health and Wellness YAC will receive $16.50 per hour to attend meetings and events. YAC members will receive support from McCreary facilitators, including one-to-one check-ins and regular email communication. YAC members will also receive any training needed
to participate in YAC projects and activities.

Join the Youth Advisory and Action Council (YAC)
The YAC is a group of volunteers aged 15 to 24 who develop projects to improve youth health, including organizing ‘by youth for youth’ workshops and events. To learn more click here. The YAC accepts new members on an ongoing basis. Contact mccreary@mcs.bc.ca to find out how to join.
