Recently released: Gaming and gambling among BC youth

We are excited to share our latest report From loot boxes to lottery tickets: Gaming and gambling among BC youth aged 12–18 has been released.

This report looks at the gaming and gambling behaviours of over 38,000 BC youth aged 12–18 using data from the 2023 BC Adolescent Health Survey. The report is a response to rising concerns about underage gambling following legalization of single game sports betting for adults, combined with social media and in-game advertising of betting sites, and a rise in video games with gambling-style features. The report is available for download here. A PowerPoint of the findings is also available.
