Time Out II: A Profile of BC Youth in Custody

This report presents the findings of a comprehensive survey of youth in BC custody centres. In all, 137 young people participated in the survey answering questions about their health, their families, their behaviours, their experiences inside and outside the custody centre, and their expectations for the futures. The study profiles some of the highest risk youth in BC who place the heaviest demands on judicial, social, health, educational and community services, although they represent a small proportion of all adolescents in the province.
