McCreary's 35th Anniversary

McCreary Centre Society hosted a celebration of our 35th anniversary on November 20th at Trout Lake Community Centre, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Perry Kendall, Provincial Health Officer.

The event also featured the launch of a video by the Youth Action & Advisory Council. Current members and alumni came together to share their experiences of being on the YAC.

Youth Voice 4 Youth Health: Spoken Word Workshop

As a summer wrap up, McCreary Centre Society hosted a FREE one day spoken word workshop for youth ages 15-24. We invited youth from around the province to attend this workshop where they created spoken word poetry using quotes taken from McCreary’s 2008 Adolescent Health Survey. In this successful workshop youth learnt how to create spoken word and also helped to create a voice for youth health in BC!
